As news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to develop, we understand that these times of uncertainty are stressful for many. Now, more than ever we are committed to YOU and to our community. We are continuing to follow the recommendations from the CDC to help prevent the spread of disease and hope that you are doing the same.

Effective July 6, 2020, our Auburn Ave location will be Temporarily Closed.

With increased social distancing in our communities, we agreed to take this measure out of an implicit need to secure the safety of our members and visitors by decreasing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to non-infected people, as well as guidance from Governor Kemp to utilize sensible discretion relative to public contact over the next few weeks.

Our Grady Branch location and team will remain on-site, available and vigilant to assist you with your credit union needs.  We encourage you however, to explore our Online Banking www.1stChoiceCU.org  and/or visit any one of our Shared Branch locations https://co-opcreditunions.org/locator/  which we hope will minimize any disruption in your overall sense of banking experiences with 1st Choice Credit Union.

If you need to contact our Administrative Branch Team during our temporary closing at the Auburn Ave location, please send us an email to info@1stchoicecu.org . Our dedicated staff is accessible and able to respond between the hours of 8:30am-4:00pm. Thank you for your patience as it may take us longer than usual to return calls due to the increase in emails, but know that we will respond as promptly as we can!

Personal Savings & CD

When you become a member of the credit union a savings account is opened in your name. An initial deposit of $20 and one time membership fee of $5.00 is required. All members must maintain a $20 balance in their savings account to remain a member, and demonstrate regular activity in their account to keep it open.

Other features of Regular Savings include:

  •  A competitive interest rate paid quarterly on the average daily balance in your savings account. Click here for current rate information.
  •  Withdrawals: To withdraw money from your savings account, simply stop by a credit union branch or go to an ATM terminal. Members may make up to 2 savings withdrawals per month free of charge. After the 2nd withdrawal in one month, a $5 excessive withdrawal charge will be assessed.
  •  ATM Withdrawals: Members may make up to 6 withdrawals per month free of charge. All transactions thereafter is $1 each.
  •  24 hour account access via Internet Branching and Vicky/Virtual Cash Info For You.
  •  Quarterly statements by mail.
  •  Payroll deduction: You may have deposits to your savings account deducted directly from your paycheck.
